Karla’s journey into landscape design is an inspiring one. Originally from Honduras, she fell in love with the craft when she returned to college in her early 30s. By 2009, she had founded LandStudio with a vision of bringing children back to nature. “Honduras’s incredible biodiversity has always been a source of inspiration for me,” Karla shares. “The natural world offers so much, and I wanted to create spaces where people, especially children, could coexist with it.”

A cozy courtyard can be just as impactful as a large terrace when it’s thoughtfully designed,” Karla adds. “It’s about making the most of what’s available and tailoring the design to fit each client’s lifestyle.”
